The Cedar of Lebanon is a coniferous tree native to the mountains of the Mediterranean. This tree has had an important historic roll throughout the Middle East for over 3000 years. References to its uses can be found in ancient Phoenician, Egyptian, Sumarian, & Jewish texts. A widely planted and adaptable tree, the Lebanon Cedar can grow to 130 ft. Conic in form as a young tree with a broad tabular crown at maturity. The Cedar of Lebanon makes fine choice for bonsai. |
