|
From California, Southwest Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Baja California, Canyon Live Oak is a dense and dark-foliaged tree of commanding size (can grow to more than 100 ft. tall although most specimens are closer to 70-80 feet tall). The leaves of this tree resemble Holly with the exception that the leaf undersides are golden in color, as are the tree's golden-scaled acorn caps. Canyon Live Oak produces among the largest acorns of any oak. It is the most widely distributed in California. |
